 | Censorship topic March 5th, 2008
| To help you with the censorship topic it would be useful to look at both the BBFC website and also the SBBFC (Student BBFC) website. Both of these sites contain very useful information about censorship and how it works in the UK. The SBBFC website also has a number of useful case studies that examine specific films and issues surrounding them.

 | New resources February 26th, 2008
| As part of our highly enjoyable and successful trip to New York we managed to get some new resources for the course. These are ‘Making Movies’ by Sidney Lumet, a fantastic book written by a highly successful director about how he works and the way in which a film is made. We also bought ‘Scenes from the City’ a photographic guide to famous film sequences that take place in New York and finally a book called ‘Street Smart’ by Richard A Blake which focuses on famous filmmakers from New York such as Scorsese, Lee, Lumet and Allen.
